Dragon Rider

Its been a long time I wanted to illustrate a dragon-rider. It was interesting to paint such a bright and cloudy mood. Started with ruff shapes and slowly shaped them into their final form. I wanted to convey an sort of alien feel, like they don't really belong into an medieval period but much rather a sort of a scifi-ancient-world, if this makes any sense. I tried to convey this by the clothing, the dragons design and the mountains in the background. Enjoy! :)
