The Secret Pool

This painting took me quite a while. I did the initial drawing almost a year ago, and worked on it on occasion. I got stuck often, especially with the green tones, and I almost wouldn't have finished it. But I felt I needed to push through, and iam glad I did it. I learned a lot about these green-tones and values and many things I would do different in the future. I wanted to convey a mysterious mood of the likes of symbolist paintings.
